How To Find Neighbors in Farmville

Neighbors are an important part of playing Farmville. Neighbors help to fertilize your farm and feed your chickens, and they can be a great source of gifts, lost animals, and mystery eggs. By helping out your neighbor’s farms, you can also earn coins and experience points for yourself.

Finding neighbors can be tricky, especially if your friends don’t play the game. First, try sending invites to your friends to play Farmville. To do so, click on the “Invite Friends” tab above the game window and then choose people to invite among your friends list. An invite will be sent to these friends, and they can choose to accept, ignore, or decline your invitation.

You can also go to the “My Neighbors” tab and see which of your friends are already playing Farmville. On this page, you’ll see info on each friend’s level, achievements earned, and number of neighbors. We recommend scanning the list for players who are the most active. They are more likely to visit your farm and send you gifts.

If you’re looking to add highly active Farmville players as neighbors, you can also check out other resources such as the official Farmville forum. There is a thread called “Find Neighbors” where you can find other players looking for neighbors, and then add them to your farm.

You might also think about inviting people from Farmville fan sites. Search on “Farmville” in Facebook and look for results that mention “neighbors.” Many of these groups allow you to post “add me” messages so other members can invite you as neighbors; you can also send invitations to players listed on these sites. To increase your success rate, try including stats about your game level and activity, especially if you’re a very active player and highly advanced in the game.

The maximum number of neighbors that you can invite is 300, however you can keep accepting new neighbors that send you invitations.

If you’re worried about adding strangers to your account, you can restrict your privacy settings so you can add Farmville neighbors without giving them access to the rest of your Facebook profile. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Go to your “Friends” tab on Facebook
2. Click on the “Create New List” button above your listed friends
3. Type “Farmville Friends” in the box where it says “Enter a Name”
4. Hit “Create List”
5. Go to the “Settings” tab
6. Click on the “manage” link next to Privacy
7. Click on “Profile Information”
8. For each category, click on the drop down menu to the right and choose “Customize”
9. Under “Hide this from,” add “Farmville Friends” in the box that says “These people”
10. Click “Save Setting”

Now anyone you add to your Farmville Friends list will not be able to see your restricted profile information. When you click on the “Friends” tab in Facebook, you should see a “Add to List” button next to each of your friends. Click on “Facebook Friends” to add anyone you wish to include in this list.

Farmville Unwithers

If you have played a lot of Farmville then this has probably happened to you at least once. You get busy with real life, work, or go on vacation then return to the game only to discover all your crops have withered. The results can be devastating: in addition to the lost coins, there’s also lost time, which can be especially painful if you’re growing long-term crops like Yellow Melons or Red Wheat. Up until now, you simply had to plow under the crops and start again, perhaps reminding yourself to set a calendar alarm next time.

But now Farmville has answered the problem with a new item called Unwithers. This is an item you can buy in the market for 10 Farmville cash (about $6 in real money). You get a 3-pack of unwithers, and each one will completely restore your entire farm, reviving withered crops. A nice touch is that you can also use it on your neighbor’s farm. Is it worth $2 a shot. We don’t know for sure. It all depends on how much you value your time and Farmville coins.

One Farmville Ring to Rule them All

With Valentine’s Day approaching, Farmville has followed up on the release of their Unwithers with a very interesting limited edition item called the Unwither Ring. Anyone possessing this ring will never have withered crops. It’s a very powerful ring, indeed. But with that power comes cost. This is a very expensive item, costing 250 FV Cash (a little over $40 in real money). It’s intended to be given as a gift, so if you’ve got a Farmville fan in your life, it can make for an interesting Valentine’s Day gift. But anyone who would truly appreciate this kind of gist probably logs into the game religiously and never gets withered crops anyway. Still, it’s an interesting, albeit luxurious, item to have. It’s only available for a few days.

Facebook Farmville Cheat Codes for Crop Growing

Crops grow and ripen at various times. There is no way to stop the crops from growing while you are away from your computer. Plant the crops that take longer to grow when you go away from your computer for a while.

If you are planning on being away from your computer for 8 hours try planting tomatoes, pumpkins, or sugar cane. All of these items are available at different levels and they can really make the difference in rotting fruit. This saves money and time from clearing rotted crops.

Other Important Farmville Information

How to get money in Farmville list several ways a player can gain money without using the cheat engine or doing any cheats. For instance, the page on Farmville on Facebook crop whisperer explains how the badge is won. As each of the four levels of that badge is won, a player gets a bonus.

Although some people may think stacking fences, or bales of hay is a cheat is it not. Perhaps players might be interested in the page how to put fences on top of another on Farmville. Stacking these items makes the individual farms look more interesting.

All players of the game may want to check out the Farmville class action suit, because it is important to know that information.

Farmville Cheat Codes For Growing the Best Crops

Planting a field full of strawberries will make a player a lot of money, and although this is not considered one of the cheats, it does help a player to accumulate money and experience quickly. Strawberries in this game take four hours to grow, so this is perfect for people who can log into facebook often.

The strawberries will give a player the experience needed and the cash to move up the levels quickly. It is time consuming, but well worth the effort if one wishes to make the levels fast.

Planting a field full of peas which take a day to grow will net the player 7.652 coins an hour and will earn the player 3 experience points per hour. Onions, sunflowers, sugar cane, lilies, grapes, tomatoes, and asparagus are also good buys, but these crops are only available on the higher levels.

Farmville Cheats and Codes

FarmVille is another popular game that is developed by the same publisher: Zynga. As far as I know, it is only available on Facebook, but would not be surprise that Zynga would be providing one for iPhone as well given the Mafia Wars popularity there (see Mafia Wars Cheats). Basically, Farmville lets you manage your own farm by rearing animals and growing vegetables and fruits. The two key objective is to build experience points so you can move ahead and to make money so you can build a better farm. FarmVille cheats codes exist online though most of them does not work. Some are definitely just cheats whereas others are strategies to make sure you level up faster and make money. There are also guide books on Farmville that you can buy. Otherwise, here is a number of them that you can try.

If you are looking for cheat codes here, good luck! We have not been able to find any and mostly what is out there are strategies to manage your farm better though there is always the good old method of changing the variable in your computer memory.

For the advance user who knows a thing or two about computers, memories, assembly code, etc, you can download the Cheat Engine. It is basically an open source tool that lets you modify games variables by scanning for variables within the game and allowing you to change stuff. It is not something that anyone should try. Also, depending on how the game is constructed, you may not be able to make a permanent change. For example, most of the stuff for FarmVille is stored on the servers and Cheat Engine changes the variables on the client computer. However, depending on how synchronization works, it can turn out that your FarmVille cheats go away when you close the browser.

FarmVille Cheats in Speeding up

This is for the advance user who knows how to do this sort of stuff. I would not recommend the amateur to do this as this requires you to have some fair knowledge of memory programming and hacking. Use Cheat Engine to modify the speed.

FarmVille Cheats- The Gift that keeps on Giving
Try this though it may not work on every browser. Create an additional account (not your main one) which we call the giver. Using the giver account, right click on the "Gift" tab and then click on Open In New Browser. Open as many of this as you want. The, go to each open tab which essentially has the same screen and select the gifts you want. Please make sure you do that for each tab without confirming the selection. Then, go to each tab again and select your main account as the account to receive the gift. Again, the key is not to confirm anything. Once you are done, you can then click confirm and your main account should receive these gifts. Since gifts=money at some point, you would have created a way to earn unlimited amount of money though it is probably not as fast as doing it the honest way of planting and harvesting crops.

FarmVille cheats in getting coins
This is not really a cheat but The trick is really knowing which tree and animals give you the best bang for the buck. It is usually good to just sell the tree once they have gone through one harvest. This is because the initial gifts does not cost any coin, but then it later takes up too much space and so selling them immediately allows you to make some coins on 0 cost and then save the time since it takes some time for the next harvest. Also, you get the most coins when you plant versus rearing animals. Just like stock investing, you really want to diversity as the plants takes different amount of time to grow and harvest. By planting several crops, it allows you to have almost a constant supply of fresh crops ready for harvest so you are not just waiting around for crops to grow.

You should also know that crops just grow whether you are in front of the computer or not. So, do know the timing of each crop as you need to be able to harvest them within hours or they will start rotting and you do not want to waste time clearing rotting crops.

Strawberries are the cheapest and grows in about 4 hours. So, you may want to start your morning sowing some strawberry seeds and then log in 4 hours later to harvest it. This is the crop you get started with when you start playing FarmVille, but it is not necessarily the best crop to plant since they can spoil very quickly which means you would have wasted all your money trying to plant the crop.

FarmVille cheats in a farm on auto pilot mode
If you do not have much time to work on a farm, yet want a stable cash flow, you may want to make decisions on the kind of tree you want to plant. Fruit trees last longer and allows you to sell the fruits for money. The problem is that they take up space, are expensive to buy and the fruits does not sell for a lot of money. In other words, your return on investment is not the best here. However, if you do not have time anyway, this may be the best for you. Otherwise, you can also invest in animals where you can get milk from the cows, eggs from the duck, etc and make some small cash flow with it. Unlike crops which is time critical, food from the animals never really spoil and so you are not tied to returning to your computer to try to manage it.

So, most of the Farmville cheats you find online are really not cheats, but just smarters ways to make more money and level up in experience points. Using the Cheat Engine is probably your best bet to quickly change a number in memory. Otherwise, there are also Farmville guide books on that you can buy if you want to learn the strategies and techniques.

Farmville has a new yellow ribbon achievement call the crop whisperer where you are randomly selected to receive farmville fertilizer.

About FarmVille

FarmVille is a real-time farm simulation game developed by Zynga, available as an application on the social networking website Facebook. The game allows members of Facebook to manage a virtual farm by planting, growing and harvesting virtual crops, trees, and raising livestock. Since its launch in June 2009, FarmVille has become the most popular game application on Facebook, with over 75.2 million active users and over 18.1 million fans in January 2010. FarmVille started as a clone of the popular Farm Town on Facebook.

On February 4, 2010, Microsoft's MSN Games has also launched Farmville to its website , although requiring a Facebook account. A Windows Live ID is not required to play the game however.

Gameplay

Upon beginning a farm, the player first creates a customizable avatar. There are six plots of land, four of which are in the process of growing, and two (eggplant and strawberries) which are fully grown.

The game is based around the market, where items can be purchased: seeds, trees, animals, buildings, decorations, vehicles, and more land using "farm coins," the generic money of FarmVille (which is earned by selling crops) or "farm cash". (which the player earns at a rate of one dollar per experience level). A player can also choose to buy FarmVille coins or cash from Zynga. The player plants seeds, which grow into crops, which can be harvested to earn farm coins. Animals and trees can also be purchased and can also be harvested for profits. The player earns experience points (XP) by purchasing items, and regular tasks such as plowing, planting and harvesting. Earning XP increases the player's level, unlocking more items. Most items can be bought with farm coins, although some (e.g., certain decorations) must be purchased with farm cash.

Each plot of land costs 15 farm coins to plow and depending on the crop planted, new seeds can range from 10 to 220 farm coins. Each crop sells for a set price, strawberries for 35 farm coins, pumpkins for 68 farm coins and so on. Depending on the plant, growth time can vary from two hours (raspberries) to four days (artichokes, watermelon). If the crop is not harvested within the amount of growing time, it will wilt and must be plowed again. For example, pumpkins will grow in 8 hours. If the pumpkins are not harvested within 16 hours of planting, they will begin to wither and die, and the player will not be able to harvest them for farm coins or XP.

As a player progresses, they can expand their farm (for a payment of farm cash or farm coins) to allow for more room for farming, animals, and decorations.

Like most Zynga games, FarmVille leverages the social networking aspects of Facebook. Along with their own farm, players can invite their friends to join and be neighbors. Acquiring neighbors has benefits in gameplay — not only can one earn money and experience (by visiting and helping on neighboring farms), but with eight or more neighbors, a player can expand their farm and own more acreage. Gifts (such as trees, animals, and decorations) can be sent to both confirmed neighbors and any other Facebook friends even if they do not use the application. The Gifts received from neighbors usually have relatively expensive buy prices in the market; so getting gifts from friends is one of the best ways to get relatively expensive items. Many of the items available to gift to friends are not available in the FarmVille market. This includes many themed decorations.

A variety of "Ribbons" are also available to players, representing the player's achievement of a series of set tasks. The player first obtains a yellow ribbon for completing a simple version of the task, then progresses through white, red, and blue ribbons by completing progressively more difficult versions of the same task. For example, the "Fenced In" Yellow ribbon requires that the player purchase and display on his farm 5 sections of fence. The white ribbon for the same task requires 50 sections of fence be set up, and the red and blue ribbons get progressively harder and more expensive to complete. There are presently twenty-seven different tasks, for a total of 108 total ribbons available to be earned. In addition to bragging rights, a player earning a ribbon gets a tangible reward for his efforts, which may include a gold or experience bonus, the award of a special item, or some other benefit.
